We are a team of engineers, product designers and marketing professionals, who work on technical solutions to support and promote personal fitness and motivation, so-called intelligent fitness and mobility companions. We develop intelligent fitness devices as well as fitness and motivational programs that run on theses devices as software apps and control them appropriately.

The company Locomotec GmbH was founded on March 8, 2010 and is registered under HRB Number 25082 at the Register Court of Augsburg, Germany. The company is headquartered in Landsberg am Lech. The company maintains branches in Augsburg and Sankt Augustin, Germany.

The company is active in the development and marketing of technology in the field of mobility, therefore the addition of Locomotion Technologies to the name. There is less focus on mobility as there is on motion and agility. For the sake of people’s agility, Locomotec develops innovative devices and applications which take over the functions of personal movement exercises and as motivation trainer.

youBot Store GmbH – the subsidiary

The youBot Store GmbH was founded in July 2011 and is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Locomotec. The business purpose of youBot Store GmbH is the distribution and advancing development of the KUKA youBot, a so-called mobile manipulator for research and education, in cooperation with KUKA Laboratories GmbH.

In order to keep both activities, the “personal motion- and motivation trainer” and the “mobile manipulator” separate from one another, the sister company youBot Store GmbH was founded.
